Anna Skavlan is a London based Norwegian writer whose work explores the influence of pop-culture within global communities. Previously a successful model, she now writes a monthly column for Elle Norway, with her work also appearing across a number of independent lifestyle & culture platforms such as Melk & Honnig and 730.no, Norway’s biggest entertainment platform.
Hailing from a prominent family in the Norwegian entertainment business and counting celebrated artist Marina Abramovic as her godmother, Anna’s material offers her readers a unique insight into the creative media and entertainment industries at large. In addition to her career as a journalist, Anna has also produced content for W Magazine and has consulted for Norwegian National Television.
She is currently finishing her Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts at King’s College London and serves as the cultural editor for Roar News, the university’s multi award-winning newspaper.
